Chatsworth

A couple of other things I love about the house:

  1. The exteriors of the South facing windows are gilded.
  2. The Sculpture gallery is utterly beguiling.

    are you kidding me? The windows are gilded! Thats such an amazing detail! I really need to get there one of these days sooner rather than later!

    Gilded they are!
    However, according to my in-laws (locals) they were only gilded by the previous Duke and his wife in the last 30-odd years to outrage by many. Taste-makers are definitely taste-breakers.
